First... to the person above me: You don't really know if the guy actually knows the language or is bilingual or neither! Maybe that is even his primary language! By the way it is written, I think he does know it and is familiar with its grammar!
Second, to the same guy I do have a japanese symbol tattoed on my wrist and I know what it means. Actually, I chose it specifically for the meaning and the Japanese symbol was a major part in the whole symbolism I wanted.
As for you answer, asker... It means Eternal Strength or Eternal Power, depending on the context. Since it's a tattoo would vote for the first, but both would make sense and their meanings are very well interconnected!

It means he's a jackass who thinks he's cool for getting tattoos in a language he doesn't speak. Tattoos in foreign languages or japanese letters are even stupider than that tribal symbol crap and should be punished with a public asskicking for being such a chode.
