Much less that jail. Plus in certain states you have to pay to be on parole. Also we get like no money.

ZERO. In fact the Department Of Corrections make a profit (which is really why so many people are in Prison).
Parolees pay a supervision fee just for walking into their parole office. Then they have money takin out of their check if they owe fines or restitution.
If they are on tether they pay that also. And if they are working (which is usually mandatory) then they are putting into the tax system.
Trust Me I know and I can tell you tax payers don't really have to flip the bill.

Nothing for the parole, and yet, their are associated costs any time you have someone on parole. Most parolees re-offend even while on parole and that is always a drain on any society.

Not nearly as much as imprisonment. Parole is an interesting sport ('We're gonna release you,...we want your bed,...but we'll keep a light on for you.') Crime certainly DOES pay;..all kinds of easy-to-get, thankless jobs in the corrections/parole/probation industry. Especially handy in dusty towns and states.

Parole don't cost us, it costs the person on parole, they pay the parole officer and that is how he gets paid.

Far less than incarceration. . .
A person pays their own rent, they pay for their own meals, and they are able to work so they can support themselves. My tax dollars are going only to pay for the Parole Officer, which I am positive their hourly salary is far less than paying to support the person in prison. . .
