I think it is criminal for our troops, their families, us Americans and the Iraqis being maimed and killed.

It is wrong that many are being extended in country. The way things are going is not good for them our us. Taking more there and ending the turmoil is better than backing out or letting the mess continue like it is going. Politicians should stop bickering and demand the military submit a working plan and put their own lives (the military heads) on the line. We deserve a clear win and proud exit not a retreat in disgrace.

I support the people serving in Iraq, but do not support the policies that sent them there. It is horrific what is happening to all these young people and their families and the adjustment that they will have to make when they return. That being said, I'm in the military and if tasked to go, I would.

Iraq is a mess and a huge strategic blunder. I still don't understand why we ever invaded and occupied this weakly defended nation .

i think iraq is going good ! if we didnt have families donating their sons to the forces , who is going to protect IRAQ ? im glad families give up one of their own, to go fight in a country which didnt do anything to us ! i cant wait to send troops to IRAN, then we could all be more patriotic, and start waving our little american flags, which are made in china, GO USA , LETS ALL VOTE REPUBLICAN !

Rummy is stop-gapping and calling on the reserves again, rather than increasing quotas.
Bush doesn't want more pissed off families knowing that their family member is fighting/dying/losing a war for nothing.
They figure the familes effected by war are containable .
They do not want more families to suffer these fates.

I hate the war and it can't be won against the gorillas. I love and respect our Soldiers, Sailors and Marines and think they need to be brought hone today. The war is probably about oil and not terrorism.
