Christian has become religion and religion has become christian and the majority is he said and she said, as I was reared up, and no one care what the world of God says.
Most of what he said and she said is not in the word of God.
Most modern day people do not feel that 1550 to 1500 before Christ any once could be smart enough for them to believe what they are saying in the bible. If modern day people think that, no one can get out of the he said, she said pattern and into the bible says this on this subject and on that subject.
If the bible does not know, no modern day person knows. Respect for the world of God as a disciple of it until it is known is what a christian is. Phillip. 2:5,9-12; Find as much of the mind of Christ as possible. The disciple studied with Jesus three years Acts 4:13; 11:26;
2Tim.2:15; 3:15-17;
In the mouth or writtings of two or three witnesses as John, Jesus, Matt, James, Jude or all apostles and all the prophets, see what they have to say on the subject.
as 1Cor.15:22-28,51-53 are two classes of resurrections mentioned here and Rev.20:1-6; are two resurrections mentioned here?
Do all go to heaven or is there a new heavens and a new earth and the new heavens comes down out of heaven from God? Rev.3:12. 21:1-5;
ASK THE BIBLE QUESTIONS AND HUNT FOR THE ANSWER.

I wasn't raised in any faith, but I became a christian aged 29 when I had a real experience and encounter with Jesus. I didn't know He was really still alive until I met Him! All I did was go to a friend's baptism and by the time it was over I had been filled with the Holy Spirit and healed of depression, all this went on quietly inside of me with nobody aware of what had happened, least of all me!
If you are having doubts about Christianity, simply pray that God will give you evidence, ask for the Holy spirit to come and show you the truth. If it's all made up then you will have lost nothing, but if it's all true and you walk away, you will have lost a lot.

Well, what do you believe? Religions & denominations are not something to go shopping for. Determine your own beliefs first, then decide what religion/denomination fits those beliefs most closely. But be open to concepts that might be more plausible! I looked at my own salvation as a personal choice, until I read (with scriptural backing) that I was never capable in the first place of choosing God -- he had to choose me, and in no way could I take credit for my own faith. So now I'm specifically Calvinist within mainstream Protestant beliefs.

there is nothing wrong with questioning your religion or any other religion for that matter. it will give you a better understanding. do you think your faith is at risk or certain aspects?
have you heard anything about 'The Abraham Connection - Jew, Christian and Muslim sharing the the same prophet'
the main religions all believe one supreme being they all preach about peace, love and understanding. so why then are they bickering so much, i suppose its one of them contradictions in life.
i chose to believe in the supreme being my own way, to lead a good life to the best of my abilities. i had to many close calls to be an aethist and not enough to be scared of damnation. this is my way but not yours. i think there will always be questions to be answer but that's why we have faith - a belief in something unknown can be a wonderful thing. don't worry to much, you will sort it out in time.
Shalom, God bless and may Allah be with you

There is no Real One, in spite of all the answers you're going to get here!
Whether you choose to engage in a spirituality, or a religion is entirely up to you. Do you believe you would suffer if you were a free agent without a structured religion?
I was born Christian, and I like to think I still treat people with respect and kindness (unlike so many christians, in my view) but I no longer associate with any religion or concept of "God". I feel free and happy and self sufficient.
Watch the thumbs down collect. Religious people hate when we non-religious types try to be happy without eternal damnation in our lives.

There were many spiritual paths before the birth of Christianity. Some are still alive and doing very well! My point being, all of them are real. All of them speak to a connection to something greater than ourselves.
What I believe you need to do is go out there and seek. Speak with people of various faiths and also speak to those of no faith. Hit your local library and read everything you can grab on the subject. Learn from books, learn from people then decide for yourself what is right for you.

Your Faith is being tested, Be a good Christian and don't fall for all the mumbo jumbo. Keep the Faith in your lord and let Him guide you. All religions worship the same God basically, Just different concepts in different religions.

You believe what feels right to you. This could be one religion or a smattering of different religious beliefs. I don't think you ever "know" which religion to believe...you just find one that feels right (or in the case of atheism find that religion doesn't feel right). Do some research on different religions....learn about Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Paganism, etc etc.

thats the confusing thing about religion isnt it?
i suggest staying christian since thats what your most familiar with at the moment.
but you should check out book from your library about different religions. seriously. you'll satisfy your curiousity, and maybe even make a desicion about another religion if something really strikes. you.
for now, read the book THE LIFE OF PI. it will give you an insight.
good luck!

All religions have the aim to inspire and somehow teach you how to Transcend the human condition and return to your Original form.
You can change religion like you change your clothes, car, home...but you can t change your own Spiritual Origin that s hidden deep inside your "heart"!
It doesn't matter what you belive but discover who you really are,
feel it...
and you ll be free!
