I heard that that feeling like you have a good relationship with your counselor actually is more effective than their actual technique. My new question is, do you guys think people are more comfortable to open up online because they aren't face-to-face?

Disagree, online feelings is just having a hollagram in front of you. In face-to-face is better you can see if the person is lieing, sad, emotional & try to fix it.

I think on-line counselling could be good. Some of my problems with counselling have been that I have gotten distracted...lost my train of thought...couldnt express what i wanted to or felt like the other person was totally not listening.
I thing on line would be neat because its like talking to your diary. You say what ever you feel with no interuptions and no embarrassment but then you can actually get feed back. I would totally sign up.
Not to mention that to go see a counsellor you have to make an appointment , sit in the waiting area...etc and you may be having a good day when you go there. But on-line is available 24-7 when ever needed or you feel like you need to talk and you can do it on your own time around your family life or work schedule.

On line counseling? Scary stuff. So much information you get from patients is visual and vocal...please tell me no one is really doing that!
