So heres what happened. Im at school and I just started 4 weeks ago. Im getting all A's except in Math. In Math, I took a test and I got the score back today....234/400 ouch cause im usually an A or B student. Our homework counts as 10 points and we've had only 3 homework assignments.Thats all weve done so far... Now heres my question. Next week, report cards are being sent out and I dont want my parents to see it because they will kill me. If they do see it I want an excuse I can use then i will type a phony letter saying that it was supposed to be a B or something. One other problem is that I come home from school with a bus at around 3:45 Im home but my parents get home from 2-4. (mail is delivered around 3) but my dad opens the mail and he usualy comes home at 3:30-4. Any ideas? Please Help!
I just started high school and in middle school I didnt do that well so they made me promise I would try harder in school and I did. I told them I would get all A's and B's. Im 13 in 9th grade

My parents dont call school and I have gotten away with writing a letter once. I just dont want to do it again because it was hard to pull off. (It was a C that time) and they might not belive it again. If i
be honest they will give me a long lecture and cut off like all my computer usage and tv usage and stuff..=(

My mom also has arthritis and she told me not to be under stress because I can develop it too. She said that she got it from genetics but it really came out when she was under stress. I dont want to put her under more stress and make it worse.

Let me give this to you from a parents point of view. If my son tried this, he would be in more trouble than he could imagine. Not only would he lose some things, he may never get some of them back. Your best bet is tell them the truth, get off the computer and study. If you are only 13 and in 9th grade, the school can hold you back very easily for poor grades. Come clean and put it behind you. You will be glad you did later.

You should just be honest and tell them that you're having trouble in math. It will put you under more pressure(as well as your mom)if you write and letter and all that. I've signed up for this tutoring place called Catapult on-line where you can pick one day out of the week where you get tutoring and they will provide a computer and headset free(seriously)and after you complete the tutoring you can keep the computer(seriously).

I agree with all of these people, except Libby. I am also a Dad. My son never tried any of this with me when he was in school. He is now 34, and a supervisor at his work. I am very proud of him. I always expected, and respected the truth from him. As long as I knew he tried his hardest, it was okay. A couple of times, we got extra help for him. After a while he was fine. Don't do what you mentioned here, that can lead to worse things later in life. Ok?

Tell your parents the truth *BEFORE* the report card comes. Promise to do better and maybe ask if they can help you study next time or find you a tutor. Being responsible and honest should make them much more forgiving than if you forge a letter and they find out later that you lied.

I am a mom and what I would like to hear from my kid is that he gave it his best. Tell your parents that truth and save yourself and them the heartache. The lie will hurt your parents more than the grade.

Try to talk to your math teacher and ask if you can do anything to get extra credit to bring your grade up. Also get a tutor to help you in Math to keep your grades up!
