my cousins (11 yr old twin boys) are coming to live with my family (my mom dad sister and me) for a month. they have only been here 5 days and are driving me crazy! I love them but they dig through my stuff to try to find candy and gum and beg to use my laptop to play 'rune scape' they also used half my bottle of gel in 2 days! what can i do to deal? ps, they have my room and i share with my sister for the time being.

Post up house rules immediately on the fridge
Rules are as follows:
1. Respect others properties.
2. Bed time is at 9 PM
3 Twin #1 does dishes Mon, Wed and Friday.
4. Twin #2 does dishes Tues, Thurs. and Sat.
5. Twin #1 and Twin #2 does the yard on Sundays.
6. Hair gel last a month. (after finish there will be no more gel for twins)
7. Twins have no access to laptop

If rules are broken bedtime will be at 7P.M. and no TV for two days.

Email me if you need me to write these house rules.

Since the boys are living as part of your family your parents need to set some ground rules, i.e. you may only enter the girls room with permission, you may not use their grooming products without permission. They need to have the same rules that you have to abide by. You can also set some rules of your own, i.e. allow them to use your computer to play games but limit the time to when it is convenient for you., show them how much hair gel it's ok to use (if it is). They may be going overboard with hair stuff....

ok, tell your parents they are driving u crazy, and be glad it is only a month and not a longer period of time! Set them down, IN FRONT OF YOUR PARENTS!! and lay down some ground rules. This is important,as they will continue to pester you till they know that theri are boundaries, and they need to respect them, as long as they are in your home. And tell them, you have no candy/gum, in your things, and that pawing through them, will not be tolerated. Tell them, if they continue to do so, they will be punished by your parents. Make sure your parents agree, and so you have backup,to what you say.
