christians don't really believe in dinosuars because to them, since God created the first man after he created the earth, people were here before dinosaurs. and scientists say that no one was alive at the time of dinosuars. but to christians, adam and eve were the first people there and if dinosaurs where here before ppl...then yea. it's kinda complicated.

It varies with the Christian. Some are biologists. They accept the Bible as allegory, and those 7 "days" it took the Lord to create Earth as longer than today's days. Some are fundamentalists. They think dinosaurs are a hoax, or God created the fossils to test our faith, or dinosaurs lived 3,000 years ago.

85% of fundamentalist Christians accept the theory of planetary motion, however, and that only took 400 years. The other 15% still think the sun moves around the earth. By the year 2250 or so, we can hope 85% of the fundamentalists will accept the theory of evolution.

People change slowly. Give them time.

Different Christians will tell you different things. The level headed ones accept dinosaurs and much of evolution. Then there are the crazies. I had a friend in college that got all wrapped up in one of these brain washy fundamentalist cult... i mean churches. He told me once that Satan created the fossils in the earth to trick us. Then there are the wackos like Kent Hovind that will tell you that dinos and man lived together in that swanky garden. "Dr." Hovind has said that dinosaurs are just modern day reptiles but since everything lived forever until that crazy "fall of man" nonsense they were able to grow to enormous sizes. The man's a lunatic, what else can i say?

I'm sorry, but what exactly do you want to know?
Why do you think that because everything (not just humans) are a direct creation it precludes the existence or belief in dinosaurs?

The only question is the time frame and that's something that is a little difficult to figure. For instance the Bible just says "In the beginning..." exactly when was that? God knows, He was there. Since we measure time by the movements of heavenly bodies how do you determine time before heavenly bodies were around?

Anyway be a little more specific as to what you really want to know.

I'm a Catholic Christian and I know dinosaurs were here, but why does that conflict with my faith in God and Jesus? I think your better question would be who takes the Bible "literally"? Most educated people know that there is no Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, or a Tooth Fairy. Catholics never took the stories in the Bible literally that is why there is a New Testament. The term "god works in mysterious ways" is extremely true. God gave us a brain to think and challenge ideas but wants us to have faith to follow the commandments and go to heaven. You have the choice to go in any direction you wish to. I believe you can do both and help people along the way.

Most Christians I dare say do believe in evolution... up to a point. The dinosaurs are one thing a Christian can believe in due to the fossil evidence. However, no fossil evidence of any kind has been found to link mankind to the ape.

Don't waste your breath. The fossils aren't real, the facts aren't real . . . God created the planet on such and such a date and that's that. On the third day, he created light. On the 1,156,183rd day, he created Spam. On the 1,193,256th day, he created the internet, etc.
