Depends - Did this crime and conviction happen in your youth? or were you an adult. Ocassionally , Juvenile records can be expunged. If it was a violent felony, then you can forget it - it'll follow you til you die.
Let's say that you petition the governor for a "pardon" or for clemency to get some of the rights you lost as a felon restored - right to vote, have a weapon for hunting, that sort of thing. Your Status as a felon may go away when someone does an initial check on you, but arrest records NEVER go away. The conviction goes away but some simple logic when looking at say a job application - the arrest record and then a change of address to the state penn and folks will know. A little search through archived Court papers or just the newspapaers, same thing, they will find out.
My advice is to suck it up. Don't lie to people, but don't broadcast the fact either. Some, when they find out, won't like you. Others will accept that you have paid your debt. If you lie about it, try to hide it too much, then you will lose the faith of some of those later folks.

A felony stays on your record permanently...so does a misdemeanor by the way. Any criminal record will follow you the rest of your life.

It will NEVER go away -- the Felony Conviction stays on your RECORD forever -- that is why you should NEVER commit any action that is criminal in nature.

No, it doesn't go away, you'll never be able to use a firearm and you cannot ever vote, unless the current laws are changed. Some things are punishable forever, huh.

Yeah...forever, but if you have had a clean record since, it shows that you have made an effort to behave. :)

Forever, unless you can get it expunged. But that requires a lawyer and $$$$.
