I hope you're seeing a rhuematologist. You should be on an anti-inflammatory and a DMARD (disease modifying anti-rheumatic drug) to stop damage to the joints. I was just diagnosed after 5 years of complaining of joint pain. I've had flare ups over the years and they were getting more frequent. I'm finally starting to feel better after 3 months of starting plaquenil, voltaren, and sulfasalazine. As for symptoms, I've had joint pains (worst in my hips), knees, wrists, fingers & hands, shoulders. When I have a flare up, I am very fatigued, I get depressed ,and am so stiff I have trouble doing normal daily activities. The meds must be kicking in now cause I'm getting energy back and don't ache. I hope it lasts.Good luck.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a long term disease which is caused when the immune system attacks the human body. It results in the inflammation of joints and surrounding tissues. It affects many joints on both sides of the body. More Information on rheumatoid arthritis, home remedies and treatment available at http://tinyurl.com/z5vx5

I have severe RA. My symptoms began with just being so tired I couldn't get out of bed and running a low grade fever when I had never ran fever before. Is it an autoimmune disorder, meaning it is the opposite from HIV, another immune disorder. Instead of taking away the IS, the IS (immune system) takes healthy joints, cartiliage, and other tissues and attacks them thinking they are viruses or bad things. Henceforth your pain. I am on Enbrel 50mg injections once a week and so far have found great relief. You need to see a Rheumatologist doctor to have extensive blood tests ran. They need to rule out Lupus.

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is an auto-immune disease so you will feel tired!! To improve your condition, please note:
1) Avoid eating red meat (beef), shrimp and lobster
2) Take a multi-vitamin (Centrum)
3) Take Chondroitin sulfate & Glucosamine (expensive) 1500/1200
4) Do not let your joints exposed to cold, especially at night

Try that and see. Best wishes!!

pain and burning in the joints
stiffness in joints, worse in the morning
nodules on joints (with progression)
My mom has it and has been on Enbrel which is the only thing that alleviates the symptoms to make it manageable.
I am waiting to see a rheumatologist to see because I have symptoms.
