Okay, here goes... Obviously, I'm fourteen, and I like this guy. I've known him for three years, but we've only started hanging out this summer... That was when I started liking him as more than a friend. And I know he was interested for at least a little bit, because he was asking my friends about me and flirting all the time, and we wen't to the movies with a few of our friends and he let me lean into him and everything. He even called me after. But now, he told my friend he likes someone else, and he sits with her on the bus and all. But I swear he kindof likes me, because he's always really close to me, even if we're working together in school he's like 2 inches away from me! And he always tries to make me laugh, above any of the other girls... but like I said, I haven't seen him when he's with this other girl, and I'm not sure what to think... I mean, if he didn't like her, why would he sit with her and everything?? I'm just confused. Any help?

Sometimes the direct approach is best, just ask. But if that seems too bold for your liking, look for the following signs. Pay attention to your conversations with the person in question.
1) Does this person show a special interest in having a conversation with you and, once started, make an effort to keep that conversation going?
2) Has this person taken a sudden interest in your life and hobbies? This is a sure sign that he or she is interested in something.
3) Other elements of body language include frequent eye contact, holding your gaze and looking down before looking away.
4) Does the person you're wondering about just plain smile at you a lot?

First of all sweetie he liked you before thats when you should've made a move. But by the look of it he only likes you as a friend and you got proof of that because he told your friends. Sorry........

he likes u but probably don't know if you like him the way he likes u,so he is starting to show interest in another girl who maybe already tells him she likes him so u need to act fast

i think that he likes you and is trying to make you jealous. either that or the likes two people. keep talking to him and flirt! let him know that your interested.
