Two weeks ago I came home and found my cat lying in a pool of vomit, smelling strangely like what was coming out of the bathroom pipes. I had to have him euthanized three days later. I have gotten headaches, muscle aches, dry mouth and a rapid heartbeat. The managers got rid of the smell and now claim that nothing was their fault; however, I am still getting the above symptoms...what could it be? There are no methane or carbon monoxide traces. Any help would be very much appreciated.

im not sure. however as far as i know, carbon monoxide is colorless, as well as odorless. you can by a carbon monoxide detector and if the gas is present, an alarm will go off(like a smoke detector)
could it be a natural gas leak?? if thats the case, call the gas company and tell them you think you smell gas and theyll come and check it out for you

i hope that helped you a little

Could be that some moron tried to mix ammonia (or possibly vinegar) and bleach to clean the toilet, releasing chlorine gas.
