They ask thee, (O Muhammad), of new moons, say: They are fixed seasons for mankind and for the pilgrimage. It is not righteousness that ye go to houses by the backs thereof (as do the idolaters at certain seasons), but the righteous man is he who wardeth off (evil). So go to houses by the gates thereof, and observe your duty to Allah, that ye may be successful. "Qur'an2 ,189"

And of His portents are the night and the day and the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or the moon; but prostrate to Allah Who created them, if it is in truth Him Whom ye worship. "Qur'an 41, 37"

Are those verses from the Qur'an enough to prove that Allah is not moon God?

and this one
And verily We gave unto Moses the Scripture and We caused a train of messengers to follow after him, and We gave unto Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs (of Allah's sovereignty), and We supported him with the Holy spirit. Is it ever so, that, when there cometh unto you a messenger (from Allah) with that which ye yourselves desire not, ye grow arrogant, and some ye disbelieve and some ye slay?
"Qur'an 2, 87"

doesn't this prove we believe in Moses and Jesus so we believe in the same God?

ok..what is God's name in Spanish, Italian, Hebrew, Persian..?
Al Ilah means the God
Al= the
ILAH=GOD
so arabs shortened the name form ALILAH to ALLAH to be easier to say.

You worship the Father, the Son and the holy spirit..but we only worship one God who corresponds to the Father in your faith

and the verses in Surah 9 are talking about the remaining tribed who were already in wear against Muslims in that time.

but also read those verses to understand how Islam treats non- Muslims:

Allah does not forbid you to treat kindly and act equitably towards those who have neither fought you in the matter of religion nor driven you out of your homes. Indeed Allah loves the just.' He only forbids you to take for friends those who fought you in the matter of religion, and drove you out of your homes, and cooperated with others in your expulsion. Those who take them for friends are indeed the wrongdoers.' "60, 8&9"

Yes Allah was known to the Arabs before Islam..but it seems that you don't know that there were Arabs on Abraham's religion and didn't worship the idols like other Arabs..Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was one of them..beside that the Christian Arabs used the word Allah to refer to God and they are still using it..and if Allah was a moon God why will he ask us in the Qur'an to not to worship the moon but worship Allah who created it..and so the sun?

The Arabs knew Allah as the greatest God and the creator of the world but worshipped the idols because they thought they will make them more near to Allah..the first to bring the idols to Arabia "I don't remeber his name now but I will look for this" brought them from Persia..and before this the Arabs were following Abraham's religion and worshipped Allah who is the only God..beside we the Muslims know 99 names for God rather than Allah like Al Rahman, Al Khalek, Al Baseer...and those names refer to God's characterisics..

No, those verses are not proof that Allah was not a moon god. Even if there were multitudes of those verses. I've done a blog series (three out of four parts have already been posted) about Allah. That which came after (the Qu'ran) cannot supercede that which came before (the bible). Neither can the beliefs of modern-day Muslims disprove the historical evidence.

Hey!

If you got Jesus in your Quran it is a false translation of the Quran and a corruption of Scripture and you are astray.

Allah is the NAME of Allah 114 times in the Quran and it is ridiculous and blasphemous to say that Allah translates god and that "There is no God but God" when ilah is god or deity and La ilaha illaAllah is No God but Allah.

Why else would you use brackets in your translation of Quran but to change the Word of Allah?

Be honest with Quran and this is the month of the Quran.

We dont believe in the same God and they believe in a trinitheism not a monotheism.

Let there be no compulsion in deen!

Are you trying to force others to believe what you say you believe?

Merci! It is always refreshing to hear words from the Holy Quran! It makes me so sad, that many Christians do not believe There is No God But God! One day they will know, and they will beg Allah for forgiveness, but it will be to late. Inshallah they will learn and embrase Allah before it is to late. Ramadan Mubarak!!! ♥

Believe in Moses and Jesus? Yes, it proves that you believe they lived.
But you do not worship Jesus as God.
You deny the Deity of Jesus Christ.
THAT'S the problem.

Mormons believe in Jesus and deny His deity.
Jehovah's Witnesses belive in Jesus, and deny His Deity.
The Christian Church labels them as cults.

Even demonic devils believe that Jesus is the Son of God:

It is you who are ignorant, not us. Allah is indeed the pre-islamic moon god.

Saying allah is not a moon god is like saying that islam is a peaceful religion. We all know the bloody works of islam. The violence and killing in the name of spreading the faith of islam has continued for 1400 years. Without cease. The world's eyes are awakening to what true islam is all about. And as I've said before there is no such thing as a fanatical muslim. Those so-called fanatical muslims are carrying out what the koran tells them to. They are being faithful to what it tells them to do.

Fight and slay the Pagans wherever you find them, and seize them, and beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem. -surah 9:5

The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter. -surah 5:33

I don't believe that Allah is the Almighty God, however, I believe he is a god. One can take anything and make it into a god. So a moon god....lets see, Nah? I will definitely say a god of war, pain, suffering....

Absolutely not! The muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet and not the Son of God. That is a HUGE difference.

From your point of view, Jesus is not God in the flesh. You also deny his resurrection. Therefore we could not possibly be worshiping the same god. In addition, many attributes assigned to God in the Bible and the Muslim god do not mesh.

I recommend viewing this website that compares and contrasts the differences between the Muslim god and the Christian God.

You know what's even better?

When people say that "Allah" isn't their god, yet they're Christian or Jewish. As we all know "God" and "Allah" are all the same thing, just different names.

Sorry but these verses were stolen from the Bible. The texts of the Bible cover thousands of years and if they as accused were corrupted they would differ greatly but instead they are amazingly accurate. You do not worship the same god.
