How dare you claim that a man like the Dalai Lama is part of the problem of terrorism.
Terrorists would be terrorists with or without religion. There are plenty of people who commit awful terrors and are not religious at all. Is not being religious to blame? No. Religion has nothing to do with it. Dahmer said that when he came to the "realization" that there was no God, that is when he was able to justify killing and eating his sex partners. So is Atheism to blame for his cannibalism?
People who want to do wrong will justify it whatever way they can, whether it be through religion or through a lack of religion.
Religious people just have, let's say, a more poetic vision of the world. This is NOT to blame for atrocities. Buddhist monks meditating on compassion embrace the absolute opposite of terrorism. And yes, they believe in mythology. So what?

In short the real answer to this question is 'No'. If you expect the kind of dogmatic, half educated religious who, armed with scant knowledge of their own professed religions theology and history save a few literal interpritations of the Bible and the words of an overweight toupe wearing preacher ringing in their ears, to agree with something as rational and true as this you've got another thing coming.
You will on the other hand be innundated with claims about 'love' and 'compassion' that get handily forgotten when purging the world of heretics, infedels, witches and the innocent at various stages of every religions history.
As a post script to the obligitory person who will moan about Buddhism never being violent look no farther than the example of Ashoka, the militant nature of Martial Arts used in ch'an Buddhism and the violience of Sri lankan Theravadan monks in 'defence' of religion (including stoning outsiders)

Since the religion I follow has no leaders, nor no books, I'd like to know how I'm listening to "the same lunacy that provokes terrorist attacks" - well, other than the word of the one and only, almighty God (he likes it when I call him that, despite the fact that he interacts with other gods in the Eddas ;)).

I hardly think that my membership in a church that continues to strive for peace can be equated with provoking terrorist attacks. If anything, the increasing trend toward pacifism, acceptance, tolerance and charity in Christian churches would seem to be part of the solution, rather than part of the problem, as you claim.

I am sorry - I do not reduce a righteous and holy God to being called my sky-daddy.
His Truth is not rubbish. He is the God of love and peace - not terrorist attacks.
I am a Christian - it was a choice I made based on the grace and truth He extended to me. I am not gullible.
enjoy your day! :)

Do you always lump people in the same general category?
Are you trying to know down a "straw man"?
It is true that there is plenty of lunacy in all religions & all people. There's a little craziness in us all! :-)

And we are supposed to just change the way that we believe because you say this? You really have no idea what you are talking about. Go find someone else to provoke. God bless you.

The first thing you need to do is find out what religious means. It has nothing to do with being a Christian.
