I've forgotten how to approach girls when i'm sober.any tips?

Since quitting drinking 7 mths ago I dont go out that much now but when I do it just feels completely alien approaching girls. I really dont want to start drinking again but this is the longest ever I've gone without a g/f. It just never feels like the right time. Any ideas??

I know what you mean, I'll cruise up to any guy if I've had a few but I'm painfully shy around boys I like in my day to day life. Just get talking to them I suppose. Ask them about themselves. Try a cheesy line like 'So did it hurt? What? When you fell from heaven.' If she isn't a snob she should at least laugh. Even just ask for the time and then try to start up a conversation. And try not to approach if they are with friends. 10times more likely to get shot down even if she thinks you're cute. Good luck with it and good on you for quitting drinking =)

firstly congratulations on not drinking for 7 months.that tells me that you are a strong person with will power or you would not of kicked that horrid stuff.at least you have saved your liver from packing up.you lack confidence that is why you needed the drink.to chat up the girls.
just be your self and smile at the girl you like and keep eye contact with her.if she is sat alone offer to buy her a drink.or you could go for the clumsy approach and bump into her and say i am so sorry send me your dry cleaning bill. you never know.but what ever you do stay sober.

The approach pattern is fairly straightforward:

(1) Bow low.
(2) Hand her the rose.
(3) Don't insist.
(4) Silently count to fifteen.
(5) Observe what is happening.
(6) Decide to continue or leave.

You remember, now, don't you - ? It really is fairly easy, You give just enough of a grace note after giving the rose to see the reception you are getting, and you base the balance of your initiative upon whether that is a "yes" or a "no." How shy are you? If you are not shy then go up and say Hi! then cut right to business. "I like you blah blah blah". I find that most girls that are shy don't want to date guys that are shy. It's just too much shyness in the relationship. However if you're not comfortable with that, then build up to it. Try to have a few conversations and gauge her body language/actions.

Just dont use any cheesy lines and youll be ok. Just talk to a girl like shes a person, cuz thats all she is. Normal stuff, and you dont need a reason to aproach a girl, just tell her the reason she caught your eye, but without gushing, like "oh my god your are so beautiful" or stuff like that. Thats sounds weak and even if a girl says thank you, in her head shes rolling her eyes

Just talk to them. I know thats kind of a straight forward answer, but Drinking really doesnt help. I drink, and I picked up my girl without having one. Just relax, take a few deep breaths, and start by maybe asking "Hey there, how you doin today/night?" And go from there.

let her approach you. Beckon to her from across the room until she walks over and then say "I knew that if i fingered you enough you would come"- works for me! (actually it didn't and i don't recommend this method)
