YES!!! I believe my daughter was mercury poisoned by her immunizations. People argue that if this were true everyone would have autism...WRONG!! Can everyone tolerate the same things? Is everyone allergic to the same things? NO!!
There is a class action lawsuit pending right now in the US Court of Federal Claims.
Thimerosal is a mercury based preservative that was(and still is, in minimal amounts) used in some vaccines. If you research autism and mercury poisoning symptoms they are identical.
Check out these sites.

This one points out the similarities between mercury poisoning and autism.

do a search on this site for thimerosal.

Pharmaceutical companies stopped producing most childhood vaccines with thimerosal in 2001. Only some influenza doses are still manufactured with a trace amount of the preservative. If they had caused some of the cases of autism, we should be seeing a significant drop about now.
Inspite of anecdotal stories, at least most of the children with autism, developed autism BEFORE 18 months, when the vaccinations take place. There was a study using home old videos taken at first birthday parties & they were able to identify 90% of the kids with autism. If at 12 months, they were already displaying autistic behaviors, the vaccinations couldn't have caused them.
Another study shows that 20% of the autistic kids develop normally the first year & regress by the 2nd birthday. So it is not impossible that those 20% "got" their autism from the vaccinations.

my mother in law seems to think that there is a connection, but i just did a search on it, and every page ive seen so far said no. here is an excerpt from one of the pages explaining why this rumor has started.
"Symptoms of autism often are first noticed around 1 year of age, which is around the same time children receive their first MMR immunization. The timing of these two events have resulted in some people assuming that there is a connection between them. However, numerous recent studies have found no scientific proof linking autism with MMR immunizations.4 " i found that on

No, immunzations do not cause Autism. Check NIMH for Autism and immunizations, you can also check NIH, Pubmed and seveal other sources. You will find that most peeps saying immunizations cause Autism or anti-vaxers or Scientologist or someone in the Alternative health field. Although on some things they may be correct, they rarely tell the whole truth on some of these web sites. So please do your homework and don't make your decision on one source. Good Luck

No, immunizations do not cause autism - this is a misconception. The cause of autism is unknown. It's theorized that it results from biological abnormalities in the brain's structure and function.

There is a preservatives in the immunization that contains mercury that is suspected to cause autism. They have not eliminated this preservative but they have reduced the levels. I asked my daughters doc about this before her first set of shots. More research needs to be done.

no, there is no proof that shots cause autism my son has a low form of autism and he received all his shots and my other son is typically developing and he received all his shots its the law to get all there shots they will not be allowed to go to school when he or she is ready. Autism is the not the worst thing in the world don't be scared. give your child the shots she or he needs to stay healthy. There are many shots now given in low doses of mercury they give the shot in two doses. you would have to ask your doctor. good luck with your child enjoy him or her there are going to be bigger and better things to worry about as they get older so ENJOY THEM NOW!

Ohio has two studies showing mercury in the shots DO cause nureological problems in some kids. A third study was mixed results. you can order your kids' shots without mercury or preservatives. usually it must be mixed at a pharmacy that day, and the doctor administering the shot that day.

I think so. I decided to spread out the vaccinations my son had, I think that it can be too much on the body to deal with to have so many at once. At least they say they aren't using mercury in them anymore, why did they stop it? They wouldn't admit it may have been causing problems.
