Im just like you, now Im getting over that (slowly), I talk to small groups and slowly to *** groups, and having classrooms debates, and if the teacher asks a question I challenge myself to go for it and face it, because I realize I have to face it anyways. But I cant face up to a 100 people or more

There actually are medications that psychiatrists can prescribe that work on your adrenaline receptor sites in your brain. I am not a doctor but have heard that beta blockers are given to actors and people who have this difficulty. I guess the theory is that if the physiological response that you are having is controlled by taking the med, then you can develop the confidence by getting in front of people, It is just a crutch until you develop your skills. I would ask your doctor if your quality of life is being affected by this fear. You can also deep relaxation techniques and visualization. Good Luck!

I have stage freight too. The best advice that I can think of is to just get up there and do it. You are not the only person who is nervous about getting up in front of the class. And the more you do it the more comfortable you will become. Have the courage to face your fear.

Practice your monologue in front of a mirror at home. If you have a person who you feel comfortable with , try practicing in front of that person, and have him or her give you a little critique, to point out where you could improve a little. That should make you feel a little more secure. Then just concentrate on your breathing, when you come before your class and how well you are going to do with you monologue and don't forget to smile;at your success!

Breath deeply.....picture yourself doing it perfectly...and once you are out there, find a friendly face in the audience....and start by locking your eyes with that person. And pretend you are talking / singing / acting just for that person. Then as you gradually feel more confident you can look elsewhere.....that usually works for me ;)

try not to think about it and get worked up about it. i usually freak myself out by thinking about how horrible i am and how badly im going to mess up etc etc...but if you volenteer to go first and try not to think about it, your body doesn't have time to freak out
