Speaking personally, I would say yes. I never really had a girlfriend until I was 19. I was a late bloomer socially, but I ended up fine. I'm sure we're not the only ones either.
Do be careful, thoughtful, and/or selective though. Watch out for the singles scene - I'm not a big fan of the typical bar pickup. Set-ups by friends are a 50/50 proposition. Be prepared for multiple relationships before you find "the one". I had a series of relationships that got shorter & shorter - 2 years, 1 1/2 years, 1 year, 6 months, 3 months, & a one night stand I'm not proud of. When I least expected it, a personals ad met me my wife of 12 years now & I couldn't be happier. I wish you the best.

There is absoulutely nothing wrong with being 17 and never having had a girlfriend. That simply means you have some standards and have not found the right girl. Hnag in there sheis out there somewhere.

I think its great that you haven't had a girlfriend. You should be in no rush! You have years ahead of you, and right now there's more important goals to achieve. What about that scholarship for university? Or how about trying to excel at a sport? Enjoy the single life! The right girl will come when you least expect it.

I don't think its a bad thing at all. If your not ready for a girlfriend, there's not reason to get pressured into getting one just because you haven't had one yet. Wait as long as you want, and maybe some day in the future you'll find the perfect girl for you.

Sure it is OK. and like someone else said are you OK with it? That is all that really matters. Pressure to be like everyone else is pretty high at 17, you will find out the older you get that basing what is right for you on what others are doing does not really matter anyway.

I think it'll happen when it happens. I never had a real serious boyfriend that lasted more than a couple weeks until after I was 20. Just give yourself time, meet people, get to know them, you'll find someone who truly interest you. Hopefully she'll feel the same way and things ill work out.

Of course it's "alright". Ever see "The 40 year-old Virgin"? LOL. Don't sweat it, things will come along naturally. Lord knows, there's no rush. Just try some no-strings dating if and when you feel like it and, most importantly, enjoy your youth and freedom while you have it.

Something is wrong with the world when 17 year old males can't get girlfriends.
Seriously though, no, of course not? Why would that be "wrong"? Sheesh.

It's ok, that doesn't mean you're weird. Just be patient and I'm sure the right girl will come along and you both will be very lucky to have each other.

Yes, you are probably one of the good guys still left out there....the girls will come around eventually....treat them nicely and with respect, and they will be nice to you....You are probably shy is why you haven't had one yet.....Get some nerve and make girls notice you!! I know it's hard but you can do it....Good Luck Hon!
