because my chinese teacher told me that more people are trying to learn mandarin chinese what for it's weird anyway and i don't quite see how that works

In America most Chinese people speak Cantonese but in the rest of the world and in China, they speak Mandarin. So it would be helpful to learn Mandarin.

IT CAN HELP YOU MAKE A LOT OF MONEY IF YOU GO INTO THE RIGHT JOBS. IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO LEARN AN ENGLISH IS VERY DIFFICULT FOR CHINESE TO LEARN. THE 2 COUNTRIES WILL DO A LOT OF BUSINESS OVER THE NEXT 100 YEARS AND YOUR SKILLS WOULD BE IN HIGH DEMAND.
Now if you want to be an art teacher at the grade school level, skip the chinese...

It is useful for you in future because many foreign talents come into our country especially people from China to overtake us. Now the China market is on the go. If your chinese is poor, u won't be able to communicate with them.
In business especially, if you are working business with China, Chinese is defintely important.

it will make you have a special trait that not many people have. also, it will depend on the type of work you do. some companies hire due to languages fluently spoken. especially the ones that make deals and trades with other countries.
