I'm home schooled and I wouldn't have it any other way.public schools are corrupt,no matter how many people say they aren't,and private schools are the same, they just cost tons of money to go to.many people should look into home schooling when they're kids get to the age when they should start getting educated,it never hurts to look.

I was in a small private school from pre-school through 8th grade. I was then homeschooled for three years of high school. This is my senior year and I'm back in the small private Christian school. Personal, I always loved it because you can work at your own pace. I never had to wait for the class, etc.. I've always been good at school and so since I was able to work at my own pace I did more than one grade in a year a couple times and now I'm in 12th grade and I'm 15. Some people don't like the idea of homeschooling because they think their kids won't have extraciricular activities. But we were always able to. I've played volleyball for a different school for the last 3 years, and I've gone to different homeschool groups that had special music and art classes. I think I would be afraid of public school because people are just mean and have no compassion. I'd be afraid that I couldn't make friends and people would pick on me if I didn't follow the crowd. Rock on homeschooling!

I was in private school K-8 and then was in public school for high school. I ended up getting my GED though. I had a hard time ajusting to the switch and couldn't sit in a classroom for that long. My daughter is homeschooled now, and she is in soccer, girl scouts, cloverbuds, and a homeschool group for computers, music, and PE. She loves it, and is almost a grade ahead already. I would of loved to be homeschooled but my mother was a single mom and didn't have the time between work and my siblings.

I was public schooled my whole life. I would like to have been homeschooled for K-8, then public (traditional) high school. I was able to go to a traditional high school and loved it. We didn't have all the violence and fights.

Grades 6-8 were a nightmare for me, and if I could have been homeschooled, I don't think I would have all the complexes about people that I have.

I was public schooled K-12 but I too would've rather been home educated. I honestly am not getting the big deal on how great school is even socially, unless one is in the 'in-crowd' and thrives on having a lot of friends and I totally understand that there are people who like that...good for them. :-)

I graduated from public school. Knowing what I now know about home-schooling ---- I wish *I* had been homeschooled.

I'm ok with the education I received. It had an influence on who I am now, just as the education my children are receiving will influence who they are in the future.
Oh, I was public schooled k-12 and attended a state university. I'm ok. Well, I guess that just depends on who you ask, LOL :)

I experienced both public and private schools -- public sucked, private was much better academic wise.

Personally I had public and think that's the way to go. Private costs a bomb, the kids turn out as snobs more often than not and they don't turn out any smarter. Home schooling is a lot of work and if they join into a school system later on - like for high school or college, its harder to assimilate and catch up with what everyone else has already learnt.
