A person from Spain will be extremely offended if any other race is called Hispanic. They consider themselves Hispanic (They are white Europeans) but that's niether here nor there. Just FYI. The race of people from Mexico are Asianic Mongoliod. In the Americas referred to as Hispanic due to the additional mixture of European Spanish back from when Spain conquered the region. Mexico has alot of Spanish genes in the bloodline- Hence the term Hispanic.

The problem with you idea is that this country is made up of so many races with so many ethnic practices still in place that no homogeneous group has yet emerged and blended into one as is the case in Mexico. American is more of a national identity than a racial attribute. Mexican is both because of the homogeneity of the people and the predominance of the language and culture. Mexico, unlike the U.S. has a real and identifiable culture which has nothing to do with the electronic media as in the U.S. where the media dictates almost all customs today. Mexico has deep roots in the past, while the U.S. is always moving toward something different, something new. This is where the national identity breaks down, as does the idea of an "American race." The predominant race here is Caucasian as in England and all of Western Europe. The predominant races of Africa and the Orient are typified by other skin colors, and cultures deeply rooted in the past, including Japan. They United States has a culture that is fast disappearing because of incessant technological bombardment and an attitude of condescension toward anything not "modern.

What is being said in your message is that whites are being attacked for discrimination against people of other colors and cultures. We deserve the attacks since they are based in truth.

Back in the day, race was broken down into three catagories:caucasian, *******, and mongoloid. ******* refered to blacks (African, Jamaican etc), mongoloid. to Asians and Middle-Eastern nationalities, and Caucasian basically refered to everyone else, including Hispanics, Italians, Greek, etc.Its been a while since I've been in school and I'm sure some of the definitions have changed., but that was the basic guidline for determining race.Over the years, caucasian is still the way "whites" are technically described, although it seems to be less "PC" to refer to the other races as "*******" and "mongoloid". Mexico is a country, therefore "Mexican " is a nationality, which is part of a culture(Hispanic) much like Greeks and Italians are of Mediterranean culture. I hope that clears up some confusion for you. The words you are looking for are racism, bigotry, prejudice.
I have a better term for you. "Melting Pot." Our nationalities, cultures, and races are coming closer together(although it doesn't seem like that at times, especially now) though immigration, politics, the information highway, exchange students, religion, you name it. The differences between all of us are getting smaller and smaller, and we should not only face that, but embrace it.At the end of the day, there really is only one race, the Human Race, and is not a race to be won or lost.

nicely the mixed ones are generally called Mestizos that's mexican community indian mixed with the blood of a foreigner that's generally maximum human beings of the inhabitants in mexico, im uncertain what the right call is for the authentic natives however yet u can call them community American simply by fact technically Mexico is interior the "Americas" and seen as area of the north american area. If Carlos Mencia claims he's white then which skill that his genealogy in no way mixed with the natives in Mexico or anyplace his kinfolk is initially from subsequently he could be direct Spaniard, French, or Italian descendant. despite the fact that i'm very uncertain of this.

Mexican is a Nationality, however, Hispanic is not a race. It is an umbrella term used to group all nationalities of the people of Latin American/Spanish descent: Mexicans, Cubans, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Venezuelans, etc, etc, etc.

Hispanic is not a race.
Mexican is not a race.

Hijacked name alert:
Latino, means Latin, meaning Italian/French/Spanish (former Roman states). Indians from South and Central America are not Latin!

Hijacked name alert:
Hispanic, derives from Hispania, which is the Latin name for the terrirories of the Iberian peninsula: Spain/Portugal.
Again, not Indians from The lower Americas.

They should be called mestizos.

Sincerely,
Don Duque de Alba

the term Mexican refers to a nation, composed of many races (amongst which the Indians or aboriginal peoples). The term Hispanic is incorrectly used to describe people of Latin American origin, and should be used only to designate people born in Spain or the Hispanic peninsula.
