something to do with not accepting or no longer doing this one thing. i 'm not really sure but if u would have any idea that would be great. thanks!

I think you're referring to "early admission", the practice of a university to offer early acceptance to students who agree to enroll in the university. Basically, in exchange for the university having a better handle on how many students to expect in an incoming class, students have more assurance that they'll get in to their first choice school.

They've dropped this because of a variety of factors, including on-line enrollment and the changing demographics of students applying to the Ivies. Basically, that means it's back to dog-eat-dog competition for limited slots at these schools.

Of course, if you have stellar SATs, AP exams, and GPAs, you probably have little to worry about.

Early admission. If you absolutely knew you wanted to go to Harvard and nowhere else, you could apply for early admission.
