I've heard that drinking water past a certain time causes you to gain weight. Is that true? If so, why?

Initially your body puts on weight but you flush it all out, it's good for your body, keep in mind that your body is made up of 70 percent water, as for your second part of your question the TIME has got nothing to do with picking up weight, drink water whenever you feel like it the only thing that can happen is if you drink a lot of water before going to sleep, you will end up having to go to the toilet during the night.!!!

It may cause you to pee to bed. You can add temporary water weight at any time of the day. Exercise and normal body functions helps to rid your body of the extra weight.

yes, your body is made out of 50-80% of water, you do need water. If your urine turns yellow you need to drink more, if your urine turns dark you have to drink lots of water, and if it turns clear you're healthy.

Once you let it out you'll weigh less again. Your body needs water to function your body and keep it going without it, it'll fall and unable to repair any damages.
