My Symptoms -
Burny Sinuses
Head Pressure
Headaches (Mild, top right of my head)
Drowsiness (may be from medication)
Dripping gunk down my throat
Dizziness
Sensitivity to the Light
The occasional ear ache

No nasal congestion though, surprisingly I can breathe fine from my nose.

Does this sound like a really bad sinus infection? It's miserable. Any suggestions as to what would help ease the pain, because unfortunately I can't take time off from work or school, just gotta push on. So it's either a sinus infection or a brain aneurism. Or I'm turning into a vampire. Thanks folks.

I have the same problem, but my body also goes into unstopable tremors, aweful high blood pressure, and many other symtoms like yours...
Start daily irrigation with the hot water and salt nasal irrigation system...Use a towel over your head, and a bowl of hot water, with a T. of salt... Chances are high that you can head off that sinus infection.

Use a natural saline spray several times daily to keep the sinuses moist.

Don't drink iced drinks[that includes your iced tea and sodas], they aggravate sinus problems.

Get plenty of rest.

Exercise outdoors to increase your circulation and clear sinus passages.

Let Papaya Enzymes dissolve in your mouth between your cheek and gum 4x daily to reduce swelling of the sinuses.

Make sure you are getting enough moisture in your bedroom at night. Problems occur when the sinuses dry out. Use a bacteria free humidifier if necessary.

Take plenty of hot showers and inhale steam into the sinus passages. Use hot compresses to relieve swelling of the sinuses and help circulation.

If you are an allergy sufferer and it is allergy season give your sinuses a break. Close those windows at night. The peak time for allergens is between 5 and 10 am.

Sleep in an allergen free bedroom if you suffer from allergies, and reduce the stress on your sinuses. Use hepa air filters, hepa vacuums and allergy free dust mite covers to help keep allergens under control...

Here are some natural sinus treatments you can try:

These natural treatments will help keep the cilia healthy and functioning properly to prevent excess mucus from forming in your sinuses. If a sinus infection should occur, these treatments will help increase the effectiveness of your medications and antibiotics.1. Apply a warm compress to your face. You should do this for a period of five minutes, 3-4 times a day. Just place a small towel soaked in warm water over your face, below the eyebrows. This will help increase the circulation anddrainage in your sinuses.

2. Drink plenty of hot liquids. Hot drinks are one the best ways to unplug your sinuses, drink hot tea – black, green, herbal or decaffeinated, it doesn’t make any difference. Do you remember what your mother used to say? Eat chickensoup, this also helps. You need to consume enough liquids so that when you urinate, it is light in color.

Hot liquids will help keep your mucous membranes moist. This will speed the movement of your cilia and help wash the mucus out of your sinuses faster. Sorry, coffee lovers, but coffee isn’t nearly as effective as hot tea.

3. You need to irrigate your sinuses. For more than 3,000 years, practitioners of yoga have kept their sinuses healthy by sniffing a solution of saltwater rapidly in and out of their nose. A word of caution, do not try this unless you have been taught the proper way to do it.
You can however, purchase a Nasal Sinus Irrigation System that will do this for you. A pulsating solution will irrigate your sinuses, and it is so gentle that it can be used by children.

Sounds like a sinsus infection, with allergies which does happen during this time of the year or and even a head cold. Remember that if it doesn't clear up or at least get relief from the non prescription meds in 5 days go to the doctor it can become serious. Also a sinus infection can last up to 14 days, while the chronic sinus last longer. Things you can do at home, is bed rest alivate your head and shoulders, drinking apple cider vinegar
aprox 1/4 cup mix with 1 cup of water and drink it 3 times a day or more. There are other home remedies you can try, but try this first. Get well fast!

Sounds like you have the virus cold that is going around. The worst bit is the breathing problems associated with the blocked nose (wakes me up with the mucus tickling my throat), the fever and the fatique.

Some people pass the cold as nothing, and hypochondriacs (with chronic sinusitis before the cold) like me suffer badly. I do not get the pain so much. Paracetomol works as well as anything.

The only time I got burny sinuses was by using an irritant like Olbas Oil.

Try a saline rinse of the sinuses. Tylenol Sinus is an over the counter medicine that I find highly effective. The thing that helps me most though is LOTS of water (an EXTRA 8) that helps you get rid of the stuff. Good luck and try to rest when you can.

Could be anything from sinus headache to a sinus infection. Your neck can be sore due to swollen lymph nodes, too. You have lymph nodes on the back of your head, near your lower neck/spine area that could be swollen due to an infection. Advil will help reduce the swelling AND relieve your pain. If you don't have any Advil, have someone go get some for you. If you don't feel better tomorrow please go to the doctor. Sure hope you get well soon, take care.

Gross. I'd say really bad sinus infection. Need antibiotics maybe? If you don't take a wee bit of time to see the doctor, you may have to take a load of time off for something more serious!
