ok, i wanna lose about 10 pounds, i weigh about 128 pounds, im 13 years old, and im 5'1, i would like 2 lose 10 punds in 3 weeks, or by oct.20, (special occassion n i need a nice outfit) dont get me wrong or anything, i juss think i'd be able 2 fit into more clothes if i lost 10 pounds, how many calories should i have a day so i lose 10 pounds in 3 weeks, or tell me exactly what 2 do, thanx 4 ur time, o, n if u have any addition answers, or advice, email me at cinderella_rhoda@yahoo.com

you sound like your healthy. don't get started worring about being pencil thin. it is not good for you.

sweety ur perfectlly fine, health wise any way... look according to your BMI( Body Mass Index) if you are 13, 5"1 and you wiegh 128 then your BMI is at a 23...an average 13 yr old girl's BMI should be at a 25, so theres nothing wrong with your weight. Why would you want to loose 10 more pounds?

if youre really set on loosing the pounds, id suggest printing out a calory counter online, and all you have to do is make sure you burn more calories than you take in and you wil lose weight like nothing.

Your weight seems fine,but I am having the same problem too only,I'm 23 years old,and am 4"9,and 89lbs.Sometimes I feel overweight and want to loose even more,but It's not worth it!
I am a mother of 3 I'm supposed to weigh a little more.
When I was 13 I weighed I think like 90 and got to 100 by 14.
Excersise is a key!! For lunch eat yogurt and drink water.
For dinner eat full meals and excersise before and after.

Go for walks - or dance or something physical for an hour a day. Then to lose 10 lbs in that time you probably need to just have 3 meals a day and an apple before bed. Count calories at each meal. Each meal should be about 350 - 400 calories. You can count calories in your foods, or just watch your portions and the types of food you eat. Avoid all sugar, white flour foods, fatty foods and salty foods. Eat veggies at lunch and dinner. Make sure you have a good source of protein at each meal - because protein will make you feel satisfied. Only have one serving of bread or starchy veggie like a potatoe at each meal. You can have a fruit (banana or orange) at breakfast, but not again until before bed you can have an apple.

That should do it. Try not to weigh yourself every day - this could make you upset and want to give up because your weight fluxuates from day to day up to 5 lbs. Only weigh once a week. Good luck!

At your age you should be more concerned with being physically active rather then concerning yourself with a "diet" (which only work for the length of time you are on them). Try walking, biking, rollerblading or participating in any school activities. You'll be surprised how fast you lose the weight and at how much longer it'll stay off.

As far as food is concerned you need only try to stay away from fried or fast foods (nothing in them that's good for you anyway). Instead concentrate on adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet. Just remember, "anything in moderation is okay"!

Excercise and moderation, sounds simple, but why waste your time on anything else? Too many other more important things to concern yourself with. Don't get caught up in in "diet" cycle.

This may be lengthy, but trust me, I've been there and done that!

First of all, you're way too young to be worried about your weight. But, if it's only for the special occasion, try cutting back your carbs (or cut them out)...that means no bread, no rice, no potatoes, no corn, no carrots, no junk food, etc.....
