Some theologeans feel that Jesus studied Buddhism. Some of Jesus stories and quotes are predated by nearly identical ones from Buddha. Not impossible, after all, Jesus was MIA for 30 years, and he must have been very inquisitive as to the philosophies of man.

Well, it's simply a matter of how open-minded you are. My mind is open to all religions and ideas. After all, there are so many its not possible to learn everything the world has to offer from one book or teaching unless you are incredibly narrow-minded or conceited. However, I truly pity all of the people that will never experience the freedom I do because they have been raised on ideals from certain religions, refusing to change and sticking with the same precepts their whole lives. Free your mind and learn as much as you can, there is more than one religion out there. For example, do you think Buddhists agree with Christian virtues? Of course not. Faiths will always collide with one another and it's up to you to decide your interpretation of these confrontations. I believe the perfect thing for you to research would be the Scopes trial. That should give you some answers and a peace of mind.

The only thing I can say about Buddhism is that it doesn't have to make excuses for massacring unbelievers causing wars or fueds that last generations or using violence to spread it's word in any way. The Indian prince Asoka was a brutal man until the horror of what his hate had brought converted him to Buddhism and made him a better man for it. Violance is off in ANY way for them can you find any other major religion that can say the same?

I'm a universalist leaning towards Christianity. I think all major world religions can help people in one way or another improve their lives. I think knowledge and education are important things, and the tennants of Buddhism fit well with those of real Christianity (not the fire-and-brimstone-let's-bang-our-Bibles-but-not-read-them-born-againers).

I think that superficially I could learn something from the teachings from Buddha..but he was a regular man and he did not believe in gods.
I believe in Jesus, so the Bible is my source of wisdom. I believe that the Bible is God's life manual for us.

Aside from the fact that they do not worship God, I find them to be one of the most peaceful groups out there. I really wish they knew Jesus as their savior, because they have really good philosophies and strive for peace. I like the techniques they use called ZEN. I am a Christian, but my son's Kung Fu instructor is a Buddhist. My son is special needs ED, and the Sensei handles him brilliantly! I pray for them to see truth thru Jesus Christ one day, cause I really love them!

I believe I can learn many things from many religions. No religion has the answers to this life and to learn from each is to make the most objective reasoning. A true christian even with their beliefs gives and takes from all religions. None of this bias BS you hear all the time that we're just brainwashed people trying to force everyone to believe as we.

No. The Bible is the only source of true wisdom and teaching. It is the inspired word of God and the only teaching that can prepare you for the events to come. All other religions and teachings are false. Plain and simple. And those that Follow false religions shall have a place in the lake of fire with the rest of the wicked. I pray for everybody so that no one shall perish. Hope to see you in Heaven
God Bless

Jesus gave us all we need. The Holy Bible is the only truth, so why should we be worried about what a mortal says we should do?
By practicing these teachings, who are you looking to glorify...yourself or God?

The bible says that nature itself teaches us.
however......do you know what it teaches?
THE ETERNAL GODHEAD (FATHER, SON AND HOLY GHOST)
that everything has a purpose, but also that its origin is its creator. singular. The Lord.
*I personally have studyied almost all teachings be it christianity or anything else.
I have tryed to prove the bible wrong many a time, and this cannot be done. SCRIPTURE CANNOT BE BROKEN.
ps...keep asking qustions though, READ AMOS 3:7 while your at it. -LIVE4TRUTH =]
