Wouldn't be the first time. Japan is a strong democracy.

Yes, Germany & Japan are examples of this.

And Honor_guard, Japan had NEVER seen a democracy prior to our introduction of same...

Simply, Iraq is a difficult situation because a 3rd foreign power Iran is sending in troops as insurgents and we are legally not yet at war with Iran.

At least with the Old Soviets... we played by rules.

Sadly America isn't willing to beplaying by the old rules... and her politicians don't have the balls to bring BACK the old rules and involve the NATION.

Yes, Several democracies are proof of this, but it hasn't been done in a country that knows nothing of it.

We occupied Japan and Germany, we wrote constitutions, they are democracies today.
