Lambrusco is not a typical red wine because you can served it chilled. As long as you have a re-corker, Lambrusco can last a couple of weeks.

I don't know about Lambrusco, but I've had some reds stay good in the fridge two nights after I originally opened it. (meaning, opened Friday night and last glass on Sunday was okay) A couple of cheaper wines actually taste better (less young and sharp) a day after opening, but I do believe that good stuff should be drunk when you open it - it'll never be the same.

Lambrusco...I haven't had that in a LONG time. I'm going to buy a bottle this weekend.

Unless you have a serious palette for wine, you won't notice the subtle changes. It will keep for as long as it takes for you to drink it.

Wine is best when drank upon opening. Red wine is not suppose to be chilled. It's to be consumed at room temperature.

I would suggest not refrigerating and drink within a day or two. You will see a slight change in flavor after the first day. Drink as soon as possible.

Any wine will change when it hits air. Some people think the answer is zero, once you open a bottle, you finish it. Others will say that if you recork it, use a vacuum or gas, it will last another day.
