You can always get it done and then you will have 3-4 months to pay it off with the vet. And even after that, they just send it to collections. That will screw up your credit, but your cat will be fine.

Two options I would suggest if your vet doesn’t do payment plans are:
1.)Ask if your vet or other local vets accept Care Credit. You can apply at participating vets for a zero interest loan through Care Credit that can be paid back over 6 months to a year interest free, depending on the amount borrowed. Our vet offers this option and had we used it when my cat got his bladder stones removed it would have only cost us about $80 a month for a year for a $1000 surgery. You can see more info on their website at www.carecredit.com
2.) Apply for a credit card that grants you zero interest (or low interest) for a period of time and put your cats surgery on that.
I hope things work out well for your kitty!

Most vets if you ask will let you pay the surgery fee off, as some said a "payment plan', would be a goo idea. As long as you tell them up front. Even making a token payment at the time of surgery will help.
My vet is very good, and lets us pay fees off.
Good luck and hope all goes well.

Look in the phone book for an emergency vet and a lot of times they offer what they call a credit card for your pet. It pays for the services then you pay it later. If not approved call all vets and find which one will let you pay payments. Maybe I can help. Let me know which state you live in ,email me tee3663@yahoo.com

Find a vet that can work out a payment plan with you. That's what I did with my first cat because he had chronic FUS and needed hospitalization...
Also see if there's an emergency clinic near you.

If I were you I would get a loan and an extra job to pay it off. Or I would drop the cat off a kind persons home with a note and then die of sadness

Usually a vet will work with you on a payment plan. Just ask them it couldn't hurt. I've been in the same situation and they have worked with me on numerous things that have gone wrong with my cats.

If you have a regular vet , maybe they'll set up a payment plan . Ask . If not , call around to other vets .

Call the humane society - they often help with such things. Talk to your vet about payment plans. Good luck!

for some reason i think you just want people to give you money! if your cat needed surgery and you couldnt pay the vet would do it anyway and might give a discount and let you pay in payments.
you are PATHETIC!!!!
