I cut myself to feel better about life

Cutting yourself will only make you feel worse about life as you progress.
I cannot judge you for the simple fact that I have done so myself to ease the emotional pain in my life.. this way I'd have something physical, a reason to cry, a reason to be hurt. It made me feel like finally I had a purpose to be depressed.
But, the scars are ugly. They don't resemble a strong person.
I've spoken to many people about their issues with this; you have to learn how to stop.
I understand people get depressed and things happen. Loved one dies, relationship break, love is lost, and your fail sometimes in life.
But there are other ways to handle it and if I can find other ways I know you can.
Next time you get the urge to cut, grab a black sharpie and write down all the things you feel on a sheet of paper. You can save the paper just like how a scar stays with you.
If it doesn't help then you need to get counseling.

Counseling can definitely help, but also examine what is making you feel bad/angry enough to cut yourself? Try to find the source of it and then ask why does it have this kind of effect on you. Be reasonable with yourself. Everyone goes through hurt and anger, but should this thing that hurts and angers you so much cause you to do this to yourself??

Well first you need to Get HELP

tell your family members and see what they can do.
instead of cutting yourself to feel better talk it out even if your talking to an animal... it will make you feel better. and it might stop the addiction of cutting your self

I did the same thing for years to validate my very existence in life. I figured if anyone was going to hurt me it would be me. You definitely need to talk to someone. There is a solution you just need help finding it. Good Luck.

But seriously, become more active in your comunity and you wont have time to think of bad things.

i hadnt been doing it for long before my mom had found out and took me to a counselor. i would say go to a shrink and use rubber bands or something on your wrists to snap. good luck :)

stop. now. tell someone. get help. Surround yourself with people and things you love. Inflicting yourself with pain is so very wrong. talk to someone about why you do it--you need someone to talk to. please stop.
