my husband did that when he was my bf..he used to call me everynight we werent spending togther( which was only 2 days a week :) ) and he used to tell me goodnight and kiss me..it made me sleep better. i think it is very nice and sweet.now we have been married for six months ( the best part i get to go to bed with him everynight) so dont get mad at him for doin it. and well if you are deep asleep and dont want to wake up tell him to call you around your bed time..so he can still tell you goodnight and give you a kiss..but trust me it shows he thinks and cares about you..dont you be mad at him over that! i cant even believe you wrote " what the hell he want" ..dont matter how old you are( asumming you are a teenage) still it is nice to know someone cares about you like that. watch if he stops calling you and telling you good night you might miss it....but as i said again if the timing isnt right , make sure to tell him to call you at a proper time to say goodnight..like your bedtime..
