You're a gal, that's pretty slim but not so skinny you are anorexic.

BMI is just a rough guage anyway because it doesn't measure fat versus muscle. Look in the mirror? Is it tight or pudgy? If it isn't tight you need to be doing some weight training or other strength training like swimming, ballet, yoga or pilates. That will tone it all so you look very hot and feel great.

Most women are pleased at a bmi between 20 and 22.

Well do you lift weights or do any exercise , or play sports.. If you do any of these on a regular basis, a regular BMI reading will not be very accurate. A BMI is for people the have very little muscle mass. For example I weight 190 lbs, 6 foot 3. But accoring to the BMI I am almost obese, my waist is 32 inches.. But I lift weights so it throws the BMI off.. you need to do a BMI , with addition measurements to get an accurate reading.

The latest news is that the BMI isn't an accurate measure. It depends on your bone structure, how much muscle you have, stuff like that. A doctor can tell you if you are the appropriate weight for your height and build.
