Can any radiation get through? Some visible light and a very weak electric field can get through, but it is not any more dangerous than sitting near two desk lamps all day. The European Respiratory Journal reports the case of a young man from New Zealand who nearly died after developing deep vein thrombosis following long periods of physical inactivity in front of his computer.
It may be similar to the situation with the risk of blood clots with long distance air travel. Although this has no direct link to cancer, it is a valid health concern and should not be taken lightly.

It's never been proven. The only thing proven was about 20 years ago they noticed and studied that women who sat in front of computers had a higher rate of miscarriage. It was caused by screen radiation. The problem was fixed.

Your eye sight will go first. There is no proof of cancer from a monitor. If there was then there would be lots of lawsuits.
