It's Rahib Singh Datt and if you say, "He was still a polytheist" discounting what he actually did for hussain that shows true muslim bigotry. One can never trust a muslim for he'll always stab you in the back! He perhaps would have been better off cutting that stupid hussain up himself instead of losing his family for him.

Lawrence of England was a Christian who also fought for Saudi Arabia. I just am not sure if he converted. The English in general are also infidels for them except of course those who joined them. Rajib Singh Dutt was Hindi but Hindu is not Rajib Singh Dutt. The same thing with Lawrence is English but England is not Lawrence.

I cant see this having any bearing on Islam except to say that some Muslims gained support from non-Muslims, but I will tell you what type of ignorance this love for stories bring to Islam with the following that I experienced in a Masjid in Sydney, Australia.

It was at Juma, and I felt cramps in my leg during the Khutba, so I stretched my leg out in front of me when this rude and violent Muslim youth who sat next to me pulled my foot back and warned me that I should not allow my foot to face Kaba and that even some Singh apologised when he was told this by some Muslim some long time ago.

Now, this violent act is known as "assault and battery" and I could have taken that sort of action against that young tyrant.

He should have been minding his own business and listening to the khutba or he should have waited till the end of Juma prayer to advise me of his culture,

Where I come from our feet are not considered filthy or rude at all and I understand this to be in Arab culture.

I thought I would wait until after Juma to tackle him openly and publicly for his totally unreasonable attack and his un-Islamic behaviour, but he disappeared without even offerring the two rakas.

I felt afterwards that I should have retaliated at the moment, but that would have been guaranteed if this had happened a few years before.

I think he attacked me for my race for which he could not hide his hatred and racism.

Hussain is history and Islam is today. To you your deen, to me mine.

I am a sunni Muslim. I have no idea who you're talking about. (added note: my point in saying that is that it has NOTHING to do with sunni followings of Islam. NOTHING, we basically couldn't care less about the guy or what happened).

Since you mention Hussain, I believe you're refering to the Shia belief, one that is completely different from Sunni. Just a little fyi

As far as who we call "infidel", the arabic word is KAFFIR which means anyone who rejects Islam. So, it's not an insult or a slur or "infidel" (my translations don't say infidel anywhere in the Quran), but simply a term to describe those who are not our faith. And yes, like many other major religions, we have a belief that some will go to heaven and those of other faiths will not. But that's the afterlife, no excuse for mistreating non-muslims/kaffirs in this life.

I do not know of this man. Then, I am still studying.

But, I do know that Hussein is like a Saint to the Shia Muslims--not the Sunni. So, it is not all Muslims.
