Jesus said, "I am the vine and you are the branches. If you abide in me, I shall abide in you. Without me, you can do nothing". The bible tells me, in all my ways, commit myself to God, and He will direct my path.

Oh, sure...I could live life without God. I did for about 40 years. What a train wreck my life was.

I never will be without Him again, for all of eternity.

Yes christians can do alot of things, just by being humans in the flesh. We can have fun like normal people. And we live like normal people. Come on not all christians use god as a crutch to not do something. But we do use him as a crutch to help us make decisions.

All I can say is: Don't knock it until you tried God. God is not a crutch, God is a friend, God is OUR heavenly Father. God loves each and every one of US. I know that we all have free wills and you will probably turn away from what I said, I am sorry for that because Jesus came to save ALL of US from sin.

If God is a crutch , you need too.
Look, my life was , in many ways easier before I was saved. I did what I wanted ,how I wanted. But, there was always something missing that I couldn't get.
I couldn't buy it, work for it or even steal it. Turns out, it's a gift and though I can still do things on my own, it's truely more fulfulling knowing that I'm now doing the things I do to glorify God.
He saved my life, I mean, He really saved my life and He also gave me life.

We are worth a Son to God.

Why do you think God is a crutch? God is the center of my life. I love Him first and foremost. He has blessed me so many times and in so many ways that I could never even begin to list them here. Do I lean on Him for strength? You bet I do! That's what He's there for. Just as we rely on our earthly fathers for strength, love and guidance, we do the same with God. He wants only what is best for His children. But He wants us to make the choices.

From your question it's clear you have chosen to believe in the evil lies of Satan [the father of lies]. And, he is most happy that you are not a Christian. He's sure that your soul will be spending eternity with him. I only hope and pray that you will wake up before it's too late for your immortal soul. That you will realize how much God loves you. So much so, in fact, that He sent Jesus to die for your sins, thus guaranteeing you a place in heaven. The choice is yours. Please make the right one. God bless!

We are people just like you and I suspect this question is intended to mock all christians.

Be assured that there are many christians out there who have had grit, determination and mind blowing courage and self sacrifice.

It is actually a harder road to live as a christian and takes a stronger personality to persevere - partly because of peoples attitudes.

Most people have something they depend on. Maybe its alcohol, cigarettes, their therapist, other people in their life or their belief in themselves. Don't be so sure there are any crutches in the lives of non-christians.

We do things FOR God, with the Holy Spirit of God as our guide.

God is not a crutch. God is our strength!

AMEN!

thank god, he is a "crutch" as you put it. and, yes, we can do anything without god just like you can. it's the result of a gift from God called "choice". what's your choice? I challenge you to read and STUDY the Bible.
