Do you think BJ penn would have won the fight with Matt hughes if he did not run out of gas?

He was winning before he ran out of gas if his cardio was better he might have had a better chance

In this case it was about the stamina. I was worried for a minute but I think matt was just too strong for BJ to hold the choke long enough. Bj almost knocked him out too. I'm happier that Matt won so GSP can finally get his rematch.

BJ didnt run out of gas, while reversing the takedown towards the end of the second round he broke a rib, thats why he tried to hard to finish the fight in the second round, he didnt tell his corner about the injury because as he put it "I wanted to be the champ", but he made no excuses and admitted his defeat and proclaimed that matt earned that win. Had it not been for the injury I think we would have seen a repeat of their first meeting, all this considered I would expect to see a Hughes vs Penn III sometime next year

BJ won the first two rounds and I thought Heghes was about to be beat. I am a Hughes fan. If he had been in shape, I think Penn would have won.

Based on the first 2 rounds yes. Although I think Matt would have won even if BJ still had wind. He's still better I think

Nope. Matt's just too strong. BJ is a good fighter, but Matt is the best champion ever and you can't compete with that. Now Matt's gonna fight St. Pierre and Matt's going to beat him again.

It's going to be a while until Matt is dethroned and loses his title.

Was he really tired or---------------------did dana tell him to act tired so matt could win? j/k i didnt watch the fight but thats how it sounded and everyone i talked to agrees BJ won the 1st 2 rds.
