i mean respect. i sometime think it's a good idea too. as to be a member of a big family, and assist my other wives in the family if a man is fair with all of us.
will you accept being a 2nd wife or part of a family of more than one wife?

I will be marrying a Muslim man soon, and NO I would not be ok with him having more than one wife. In some Muslim countries, laws have been created making it almost impossible for this to happen. The original wife must agree to let her husband marry another woman, and laws demand that he prove he can emotionally and financially provide equally for all of his wives. If he cannot do that (and in this day and age, most men cannot), they he will not be allowed to marry again.

Muslim Woman... I highly doubt that in the 21st Century a man can be able to love more than one woman equally. therefore it is a sin if he marrys more than one wife. Its a sin if he marrys more than one wife even if you don't agree.
Don't worry Muslim woman. be strong, its not like the ancient days where pagans and non islamic religons had more than 20 wifes. The Quran limited the number...so eventually...there is only one wife per man.
Kind of like smoking.. you can't smoke in certain places.. slowly...smokers are decreasing in size. and one day i guess there won't be any.

I wouldnt want to be second anything. For that matter i dont want a male for anything other than friendships. I am so glad there are many strong,loving an caring women in this world. Lots that never need a man... Like me!

Why not get another man to join too? Then wife will be very happy also. This is the usa. Its against the law.

It depends on the situation, if the original wife is willing, why he needs a second wife, if the household is stable and supported, if he's financially able, etc... I wouldn't refuse the possibility of a wonderful marriage because he was already married, but it would be very hard to persuade me that it *would* be a wonderful marriage.

it's up to the woman to say yes or no to such a marriage. widows, divorce, or singles have the right to marry a married man.
today, not every man is ready for marriage, and not every man want to get married, and sex is forbidean outside of marriage.
my answer is, if i love the man, and we respect each other, and i will not cause too much problems in his family, then yes i would.

for me i rather stay unmarried even and old Spenser than to steal another woman husband... but that just me...my Friend is a 2nd wife and she like it because he is spoiling her but i think he is not fair to his first wife
