go to a good hairstylist and ask them to thin your hair. using a razor blade, they will decrease the thickness and poofiness of your hair. this is good for curly and straight hair types alike.
also, conditioner should be your best friend. personally, i like aussie- but whatever type works best for you depends on your hair type.

Next time you get a haircut at a salon, have them razor cut it. They run a razor thru the thickest parts at the bottom to thin it out. You can't tell, either. It may help with the puffiness.

omg. i had , well still have puffy/frizzy medium hair, the kind you want, but if u just get the hair cut, it'll only make your hair puffyer. but if u get it permanently straightened, bet you'll look gorgeous. Thats kinda what i did, and get it chemically straightened, because it gives you hair a natural touch. and people will just be like, "wat r u talkin about? u have naturally straight hair, or at least it looks like it." and just so you know, its like $100.... to get your hair straightened... well, good luck~

you can get a layered cut so that it can be different lengths at diff parts of your head. you can gel it or use the maxi glide that is a spinning brush. those are said to eliminate frizz and maximize shine (that really sounded like a commercial).

ok i'd somewhat recoomend getting a wedge, thickened out, layered bob. The shortness will shrink the curliness and the puffiness will go large! also its an awsome decrease! <3

If you are willing to pay hundreds of dollars, get a japanese straighter, or just have your hair cutter style it.
