Move directly under the flight path of your airport. YOU WILL get up at 5am. I get woken up every night by the 4:30am hongkong to vancouver flight, which is why I'm finally moving.

I generally have a hard time waking up in the morning, so I use three alarm clocks. One of them is right next to my bed, so I can just roll over and turn it off, but the other two are across the room, so I have to get out of bed to turn them off.
Once you're up, just try to keep moving. Don't sit down or lay back down. If you can walk around, or even better, try to exercise a little, it'll get your body moving and make it easier to stay active.

Don't lay in bed once that alarm clock goes off. Get up, and turn on some music or a book on tape, get dressed and eat breakfast or whatever. Then at night, go to bed earlier. I have to get up early every morning with a daughter to get her to jazz band practice and after a few weeks getting up early has become a habit and natural.

First go to bed 8 hours before. Leave the blind open so the daylight comes in. That will help you to wake naturally.

Borrow my cat! He always thinks it is a good idea to wake me at 5 am just to socialize!! Seriously though - you have to change your sleep pattern it is a bit like changing time zones when traveling long-haul flights. Good luck!

try spraying ylang ylang on your pillow too. It'll send you to sleep all peaceful.
