no, hammers are too messy, tazars are clean and the convulsions of the target provide comical entertainment for the other kids.

first of all, how old are they? if they are responsible enough to understand what a hammer is used for then yes, if they have violent tendencies or dont quite fully understand that a hammer can be dangerous then no. first try getting them a plastic hammer and nails and save the real stuff until they become construction workers :-)

And how old is your child?
Just use a toy plastic hammer or something. Harmless, playful, painless physically and painless for your wallet.

Depends on how old they are. I was terrified to see real hammers and real nails in the craft section at my child's nursery when he started part-time at three, but (to my utter amazement) no kid ever nailed another kid to their desk....

no... kids tend to misuse tools. and hammers aint cheap... just have them use heavy rocks... they work just as well.

well duh, of course they are!!!
just because i have a metal plate in my head does not mean that i didnt benefit from it, never stepped on a rusty old nail again now did i?
but i can never ride an airplane again... oh well i never did before, so nothing to miss
