I was born in 1967. My parents and 3 children came to America from Cuba. In 1976, my folks became naturalized. Were the minor children granted citizenship at the same time?

it depends. if your parents were married and naturalized while you were under the age of 18 and you had a green card at that time you are a citizen. you would need to file a form n600.

No, they don't get citizenship automatically. The naturalized parents must apply for citizenship for the child before he turns 18. All you need to do is apply - nothing else is needed.

If the parents don't file before he turns 18, then his citizenship will not be automatic. He'll have to apply for naturalization, take the test and oath like all other people.

But if its done while he's still a minor, it happens pretty fast and there's nothing more that needs to be done.

ummm, if you are born in the US you are a citizen, reguardless of where your parents are from. If you have come from another country, you must apply like your parents i think.

You need to apply for it if they did not include you on their original application, you need to find this out from them or find your legal documents.... otherwise you would need to apply yourself.
