I definitely think that there will be a lot of catholics in heaven,
it's not where you go but who you know.

I just read the answers above me.
it is unbelievable how few people get to know what others believe.

Some yes, but as a whole, I wouldn't say that about any christian denomination. The thing is, the catholic church looks at the idea of "faith alone" as a heracy, as that it would condemn people to hell, and like wise, the protestants think that the catholic believe of "faith plus works" is a heracy as well, as we cannot earn our way to heaven, that is why we say it is faith alone, other wise we are saying that what Jesus did on the cross wasn't good enough, and demean the sacrifice. So any bible believing catholic in the church that realizes that and believe the Bible, they will be saved, though I'm not sure why they would want to stay in the catholic church then, especially since they used to ex-communicate people for believing in "faith alone" and even burn a few at the stake back in the day.

Anyone who has accepted Jesus as their savior will go to Heaven. There are such people in the Catholic Church and in the Protestant churches. Each church also has "cultural Christians," who are Christian simply because their parents were or because going to church is a social thing. These people have not truly accepted Christ and church has no meaning for them and are risking not gaining entrance to Heaven.

I think there will be catholics in Heaven but I don't think that anyone will be saved through catholic theology. Catholics teach that you get to heaven through good works and the sacraments and so on the Bible teaches that you get to heaven by your faith in Jesus Christ and by that alone.
Thanks ALL HEART for documenting what I am saying.

Catholics do not believe in accepting Jesus as your savior and becoming born again. Catholics will not get to heaven without accepting Jesus as their savior, and stop worshiping statues and having people confess their sins to a priest, instead of going straight to Jesus with their confessions. Jesus is the only one who can absolve anyone of there sins. No mortal man can do this. Catholics teach their own doctrine and not God's.

I am not either of those but, I think lots of different races and religions will be with God. Most religions only believe it's their own belief and no one else will enter God's kingdom. God will have mercy on whom he has mercy and compassion on whom he has compassion. Only the father knows.

"worhipping statues"??? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Let me rephrase the original question, to clarify just what is being asked ...

Do you think that any Christians went to heaven prior to Luther's revolt in the 16th Century? The Apostles for example??

What we think is irrelevant. Whether or not they go to Heaven is for God to decide.
