It depends. The guy could come home and beat his wife, so of course she's gonna cheat on him(and has good reason to). It's really different with each situation.

i don't think that the women are more faithful. I think "richer" countries have a better system of recording the divorce rates etc. In many cases many ppl have common law relationships or just separate without involving the courts.

it depends. it could be that divorce is not allowed in their country so they don't have a choice but just put distance from their husbands or go back to their families.
another, divorce or annulment is pretty expensive for an average person to spend on esp for a stay-home wife.
then , there's the commitment thing. they always have this secret hope that everything will be fine and the husbands will change for the better. perhaps, they also stay for the sake of the children.
