I'm sorry that some people treat you and others poorly. I can tell you that i was once the same way, then i let Jesus take over my life. I've noticed a whole lot of hostility from athiests on here and often wonder why people would ever be intrigued to follow them. I really hope that after seeing the attitudes of certain groups of people, that you can gain an understanding of how truely amazing a life for Christ really is and how poor life is without Him.

Dear Chocolate, personally I would like to believe that I am a nice guy, I try not to be cruel. I am honest when it comes to answering questions, unless I do a silly answer. I am not here to offend, I am here to learn and make sense out of it all. If I have answered any of your questions and I was mean, I am sorry.

I looked at your profile and I don't think I've ever seen or answered any of your questions before. I say that so that you know I'm not trying to excuse a rude answer.
I started looking at your questions and my first thought was that perhaps you are young and that is why you are asking what you are asking. Perfectly normal questions for someone who is 15 (I only picked up your age from one of your questions). My advice to you is that you put your age, or "teenager" or "young adult" or something like that in your profile. Maybe even add that you are here asking sincere questions. Because I've seen some ridiculous questions of all types here, and so has everyone else. Hostile, rude, stupid questions, by bored people I suppose. So, if they know you're age, it makes more sense that you are asking what you're asking.
We "all" wondered about God at 15 in the way that you are asking, like about when you asked if we can understand his language when we get to heaven, etc. So, I hope my advice has been helpful and I do hope you're not offended. KEEP ASKING QUESTIONS, THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO LEARN!!! :)

I have noticed that people can be so mean. I think it is worse with adults then our children in school.
I think everyone should be treated with respect. You should always treat people the way you want to be treated.
I am a people person, I like to make new friends, and be a problem solver, if at all possible.
So, to answer the question, about nice people out here.
Well, you just found 1 for sure.

there are nice people. . . problem is there are not nice people. . . and there are people who post baiting questions to get a response. i've asked questions because i really want to know what people think and i've gotten jumped all over because people took my question as a personal attack.
and religion and spirituality is a personal, emotional issue which causes personal, emotional responses (which can be mean and defensive.)
it's also hard to tell tone and irony through type which leads to misunderstandings. hope all the answers here made you feel better and have a nice day.

Of course there are. Yahoo! Answers is just a slice of life. You have all kinds of diverse ppl here, and a lot of them just desire a rise out of others. It's kinda sad.. but the reason I continue to come back is that there's some ppl here who are honestly seeking answers and if I can impart a bit of what I've learned on my journey, I feel great about doing it.

Hey, I'm a kind person!
Honesty, is sometimes shocking however, but it does not mean I disrespect anyone!
Dialog involves writing what you really believe. Understanding is better grasped when people speak openly.
