Dude, when you smoke you are looking to something other than God for your pleasure, this is called Idolatry. I would pray about it, if God is leading you to quit smoking, then do so.

That is so ridiculous that it really doesn't warrant a response. Howerver there is a right answer and this answer can be applied to many future questions about the Christian intent and punishment, for lack of better word. In Paul's letter to the Romans, chpt 14, verse 14, He is very clear on these matters. listen to your heart closely as you read. "i know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus Christ, that no act, in and of itself is a sin. Lest you believe it a sin, then for you, a sin it is. If I wake everyday and do the best I can to behave as i've been taught, no matter what that is, I'm doing right by the Lord. Period. it goes on to explain, that if You believe an act is a sin, your brother believes not, it is none of your business to say otherwise, he has his great intentions, you have yours, only God can decide and if you condemn your brither, it is you that is behaving in a sinful way. Peace, Brach S

Smokers don't go to hell. It's the lost that do. Smoking, however, can be an expression of inner turmoil.
Christs coming was an expression of GOD's love for us, not His judgment. It's the greatest thing that ever happened. GOD is the judge, but more than that, HE is LOVE!

of course not. Sin is only there when the will is engaged. If a person willfully starts smoking with the intent to do him/herself harm there is sin yes but, it can be forgiven. Most smokers do it out of addiction and this relieves some of the guilt because the addiction weakens the will.

I am a smoker and I do not recall a "Thou shall not smoke" in the 10 comandments. I know that it is not a healthy thing, but I believe in God and Jesus Christ, personally I don't think I will end up there. If I do because of smoking, oops

I once had a preacher who said, "People who smoke won't go to Hell for smoking...they just smell like they've been there." No people don't go to Hell for smoking. They go to Hell for not believing in God and accepting Jesus as their savior. (That's what my religion believes. I know other religions have other ideas on how you get to Heaven) I use to smoke and I got tired of certain people telling me that my body was the temple of the Lord, and I would go to hell for destroying it with smoking. These same people were obese. They didn't seem to think what they were doing to their bodies was sinful though.

We Muslims know that smoking is a sin..but this doesn't mean that all smokers are going to hell if God forgives them for other good things they did in thier life.

No, smoking does not send one to hell. Nothing you do can send you to hell except not being saved. We are all born sinners and are on our way to hell from conception. Therefore whether or not you smoke makes no difference! If you are not born again then you will go to hell.
