Find out what he likes to do. Don't do movies, unless you don't want to talk to him. Try something fun, like mini golf, go karting. All guys, or at least most, like competition type things, play to that. Only if he's like that. Just find out what he likes and play to that. Go bowling, do something where you can interact and have a topic of conversation within the activity.

If you want to end up makeing out go to the movies or the beach. If you just want to get to know him better go out to eat, main event, bowling, or go to the mall.

As for "some place to go" .....1st date? Quick dinner and conversation at low priced restaurant/Chili's? Then theater for a movie.........conversation 1st /then enjoy movie company.
