The only thing I can tell you is to pray and talk to your god about the things that have been going on and also try to read the bible once in a while try reading psalms or proverbs. Try listening to some inspirational gospel music or whatever religion you are in whatever music you listen to that will help you to relate to what other people been through and gospel sometimes will do that for you. Just keep the faith and never give up hope.

In Islam there are certain requirements from a believer, like praying 5 times a day, fasting on the month of Ramadhan, and giving Charity. To be more religious a Muslim can do additional prayers (there are specific additional prayers after and before each prayer), fast not only on Ramadhan but during other times as well, give more Charity, read Quran daily and study Islam (there are tons of topics to study).

Peace.

You really don't even need a Religion to have a relationship with God-Jesus.

Once you realize that a personal connection is all you need, Religion will come second. It don't matter what religion a Church is when I go, I go to whatever Church I feel like going to, and no one can change my mind, because I don't need a religion, especially me knowing that God is in all Churches, and everywhere I go, I feel God, I have that personal connection, spiritually, due to my faith and trusting God.

Prayer is one key, trust is another, and time- patience

Be patient with God and with yourself. One of life's frustrations is that God's timetable is rarely the same as ours. We are often in a hurry when God isn't. You may feel frustrated with the seemingly slow progress you're making in life. Remember that God is never in a hurry but he is always on time. He will use your entire lifetime to prepare you for your role in eternity.
The Bible is filled with examples of how God uses a long process to develop character, especially in leaders. He took eighty years to prepare Moses, including forty in the wilderness. For 14,600 days Moses kept waiting and wondering, " Is it time yet" But God kept saying , " not yet."
So basically be patient with your prayers and keep on with them, and trust God in everything you do, God would be there with you in the bad times as the good, and it's all for a reason. And don't feel that you need a religion:) hope you understand:)

Ye shall certainly be tried and tested in your possessions and in your personal selves. (3:186)

Do men think that they will be left alone on saying “We believe” and that they will not be tested? (29:2)

Be sure (God) shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil); but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere. (2:155)

~Quran, Islam~ Don't let those trials put you down. Islam is a beautiful religion; nurturing the soul and cleansing the mind and heart. Please consider it on your spiritual journey and may God guide us all to the truth. Peace and blessings sweety!

Religion is man made. Christantiy is Christ made when He died on the cross for our sins. Through becoming a born again Christian, you will not have to go through life alone, and Jesus will help lift some of those burdens from you.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

The best way is to get on your knees and talk to God. Ask him to show you the right way. You would be amazed how fast you could find him in your own home and not in church or even being preached to by someone. Jesus loves us all and wants the best for his children. Get a bible and start reading little at a time. Ask Jesus to help you find your way and it will be opened to you. I wish you the best. God Bless and take care.

Find a religion that gives you comfort and peace of mind, and go from there. You do not have to stay in the religion you are now in.

You still have questions, keep asking and seek for the truth. If it is Christianity that you are looking for, pray, ask God for guidance.
Ask for Him to shine down upon you. Don't give up, these things do not happen over night. You have to be determined to want a change in your heart, a change in your life. You want to surrender your will, your heart, your soul over to God. Let Him guide you with your walk through life. As for Jesus to forgive you, and keep asking for His blessings. God will be there for you if you want Him to. Keep the faith and let the Lord God into your life.

It is much better to go through life's problems wuth Chrust than without Him. Trust me---I have done both. I urge you to give your life to Christ tonight. A Christian, very simply, is a person who has decided to be a follower of Jesus Christ. As you may know, Jesus lived in the Middle East about 2,000 years ago, and after preaching and teaching for about three years, He was put on trial and executed by His enemies. The Bible (our source of information about Jesus) tells us that three days later He came back to life by the power of God, and was taken up into Heaven. Someday He will return to conquer evil and rule over everything in perfect justice and love.

What sets Jesus apart from every other religious leader or philosopher? Simply this: The Bible says He was God in human flesh—completely man, but also completely God. He came to earth for one reason: to reconcile us to God. Sin had separated us from God, but Jesus (who was without sin) took all our sins upon Himself, and He died in our place.

Why did He do this? The Bible says the reason is because God loves us, and He wants us to be with Him in Heaven forever. It says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). I pray that someday soon you too will become Jesus' follower, by giving your life to Him.

That's easy! Do research into other different gods and goddesses and build a relationship with them through prayer and doing rituals in thier honor.
