Okay people I need help! Have a small dog who has peed over and over on the leg of my end table. Odor is gone from carpeting but the wood has soaked up the urine and smells disgusting. Outside of throwing it out (lol) do any of you have a solution? If I get rid of this one he will just pee on a new one.

Gee I thank you all for the answers but for those of you saying to get rid of the dog....I'd sooner cut off both my legs. Well maybe I could cut off the tables legs lol. Have placed the table leg into a plastic container of pet odor remover hoping the leg will soak up the solution eventually

Try Urine Gone. I don't know if it's in stores yet or not, but I would look for it.

get rid of the dog. U can't unteach him not to do this, and any and all tables you get, he will do this to. u answered your own question, when you said " if i get rid of this one , he will just pee on a new one." True. he will,so the best way to not have ewwwy smells ,is to get rid of your dog. I know,as a pet owner myself,I can't picture getting rid of my cat,for he has been there for me,and is a therepy cat,not just a pet. I would say to seriously look into the petsmart, or wal-mart and try finding a pet spray for the table, but i wouls also look into getting rid of the dog,as he will not stop peeing on the table leg. To him,it is a tree, he can mark his territory on and pee freely on.

Purchase Natures Miracle or Pet Tastic Stain and Odor Remover at your local pet store, follow bottle directions and it should work.

PS-Use it on your carpet too, the odor may be gone to you, but its not to your dog.

You might as well save a lot of work and money and just replace the wood flooring. If the urine odor is soaked into the wood that bad, it needs to be replaced, or the new carpet will take the urine smell as well.
