Obviously I know about Methadone, but I was hoping to hear about other possibilities. We have a friend who tells us he is trying to quit but is allergic - or at least has had bad reactions from it - to Methadone. So we are hoping to hear from actual former users who have successfully quit using other drugs. We can find lots of info from "professionals" jj, we want to hear from former addicts with success stories.

WHAT I HAVE HEARD IS METHADONE AND SOMETIMES XANAX OR SIMILAR. THAT'S WHAT THEY GIVE YOU IF YOU GO TO A TREATMENT CENTER TO WEAN YOU OFF OF IT. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ADDICTED TO DRUGS JUST OUTSIDE RECOURCES

methadone.. though it's more addictive than heroin..

there is a drug called subutex ,,,,,,, it supresses the hit
