Jesus Christ is very real. He is God's Son. I'm thankful you want to learn about Jesus and Christianity. I hope what I say will be only a first step for you, and that you'll continue to grow in your understanding.

A Christian, very simply, is a person who has decided to be a follower of Jesus Christ. As you may know, Jesus lived in the Middle East about 2,000 years ago, and after preaching and teaching for about three years, He was put on trial and executed by His enemies. The Bible (our source of information about Jesus) tells us that three days later He came back to life by the power of God, and was taken up into Heaven. Someday He will return to conquer evil and rule over everything in perfect justice and love.

What sets Jesus apart from every other religious leader or philosopher? Simply this: The Bible says He was God in human flesh—completely man, but also completely God. He came to earth for one reason: to reconcile us to God. Sin had separated us from God, but Jesus (who was without sin) took all our sins upon Himself, and He died in our place.

Why did He do this? The Bible says the reason is because God loves us, and He wants us to be with Him in Heaven forever. It says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8). I pray that someday soon you too will become Jesus' follower, by giving your life to Him.

Without doubt the most documented life ever. Not only does the New Testament of the Bible provide details of His life, death and resurrection. At least 500 people witnessed His life after death. Over 120 witnessed the Ascension into heaven. Secular historians both Roman and Jewish also document Jesus' life and even discuss the Resurrection. There is no question Jesus or Y'shua from the Hebrew transliteration was and is real and is yet to come again by His own words.

If you're willing to accept the accounts of the gospel writers, then I'd say yeah. We've got witnesses from Jesus' day who wrote down historical accounts about him: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, Peter, etc.

If you don't believe these accounts though, there are others. Josephus, the Jewish historian from that era (who nobody denies existed) commented on Jesus. So did Suetonius, Pliny the younger, Tacitus, and other texts from the first century that actually were there.

I'd argue given this evidence that he at least existed - Jesus the man was real. But could any old sage have the impact on the world in the way Jesus did? Not Plato, Aristotle, Confucius...they revolutionized the world of thought but not so much to have billions of followers and thousands of churches dedicated to them, even to this present day. At this point I appeal to the gospels and believe that he in fact was more than just any old historical figure!

He was a real person. They have Roman records of his family and birth, etc. There was a man from Nathereth that was Jewish, and preached new religios ideas. To Jews: a wacko, to Christians: Son of God, to Muslims: Great Prophet.
The idea of Jesus being son of God, as Christians say, is not fact, but a belief.

That a person named Jesus lived in Judea about 2,000 years ago is supported by at least one mention outside of the bible, in a brief mention by a Roman historian.

The whole son-of-god, resurrected, divine part has no proof whatsoever of being real besides what is in the bible, and even that is inconsistent and self-contradicting.

That He existed is a historical fact. That He still is you may discover. They say the taste of the pudding is in the eating. Tune into Trinity Broadcasting Network or any Christian channel; listen to Kirk Franklin, Integrity Music artists or any Christian artist; visit any living church. In a while, you'll KNOW the answer to your question. He that seeks will find.

Jesus Christ cannot be made up...no be made up you need to be made. Jesus was not made and noone made him. He became flesh over 2000 years ago but He wasnt made then either (like you or me would be made.) And He still is flesh.

Jesus Christ is real. He is the only one true God. He is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father (God) without going through Jesus.
